Postdoctoral Position in Synthetic Biology Applied to Immunology

IIT invites applications for 1 postdoctoral position to study molecular mechanisms underlying T-Cell exhaustion by integrating Systems and Synthetic Biology approaches within the Center for Advanced Biomaterials for Healthcare@CRIB in Napoli.

T cell exhaustion is a dysfunction phenomenon that occurs upon prolonged exposure of T cells to antigens (i.e. chronic infections, cancer, neurodegenerative disorders) that causes the inability of inducing a strong immune response.

The project will be developed in close collaboration with UCLA, Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM, Naples) and University of Naples Federico II.

The successful candidate must be highly talented and motivated scientist holding a PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology or related disciplines and having a previous experience with molecular biology, mammalian cellular biology and flow cytometry.

Experience with lymphocytes T cells is highly recommended, experience with microRNA, and RNA-seq is highly desirable.
